Military & Veterans Affairs
As a nation, we owe a debt of gratitude to the service and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform.
More than 19,000 Pennsylvanians belong to the state National Guard. These citizen solders serve alongside our nation’s military in times of conflict, provide assistance during natural disasters and other emergencies, and give training and support to state and local law enforcement authorities.
The state’s Bureau of Veterans Affairs provides advice and assistance to more than one million veterans and their families, including quality care for aging veterans and other benefits.
