Mountain bikes may be used on most roads and trails in the Forbes State Forest, giving the biker more than 250 miles for riding.

Only the Natural Areas and the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail are closed to this activity.

The degree of difficulty varies from beginner to expert. The trails vary from winding single-track, to gated dirt and gravel roads.

Maps of the trail systems are available at the district office, or can be downloaded from our maps page.
