Blue Knob State Park

Blue Knob is a 5,298-acre park in the northwest corner of Bedford County. It contains the second highest elevation in the state at 3,146 feet above sea level.
 

Canoe Creek State Park

This 958-acre State Park is in scenic Sinking Valley, 12 miles east of Altoona. It features a 155-acre lake, wetlands, old fields and mature forests, which provide critical habitat for migrating birds and for one of the largest bat colonies in the Commonwealth.
 

Laurel Ridge State Park

Laurel Ridge is a 14,964-acre park that runs along the Laurel Mountain from the Youghiogheny River near Ohiopyle north to the Conemaugh Gorge near Johnstown.
 

Prince Gallitzin State Park

This 6,249 acre park has a 1,600 acre lake and a 437-site tent and trailer campground which make it a popular vacation site. It is located in northern Cambria County and is accessible from US Rt. 219, PA 36 and PA 53.
 

Yellow Creek State Park

Yellow Creek is a 3140 acre park located along US Rt. 422 in Indiana County. It features a 720 acres lake that is popular for swimming and fishing.
