Bald Eagle State Park offers both modern and rustic camping experiences.
Russell P. Letterman Campground

♿ This modern camping area is less than one mile from the beach, marina, and other park facilities, and features:
- 94 campsites
- Full-service sites
- Electric hookups
- Flush toilets
- Warm showers
- Yurts
- Camping cottages
- Amphitheater
- Sanitary dump station
The campground opens the second Friday of April and closes in mid-December.
Each campsite has a paved parking spur, picnic table, and fire ring.
Electric hookups of 30 amps are available at most sites, and some campsites have 50-amp hookups. Some sites have full service hookup, which includes sewer, water, and electricity.

Rustic Camping Area
This rustic area has 34 walk-to sites for tents and 34 sites reserved for camping vehicles. The tent camping sites are walk-to sites and are about 150 feet from the road. Parking spaces for tent campers are along the road.
Drinking water is available along the campground road. Restrooms have non-flush toilets and a sink with running water. A sanitary dump station is available.
Free Camping for Campground Hosts
Bald Eagle State Park has one host position available in each campground. Modern campground host site amenities include 30-amp electric service with a water and sewer hookup. The primitive host site does not provide any amenities.
Hosts are required to assist the park personnel 40 hours per five-day work week (including weekends). Work hours are from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., except Sundays, which will be from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Campground hosts will be on-call to assist the park at various times. Contact the park office for additional information and availability.

Camping Cottages
♿ Three camping cottages in the Russell P. Letterman Campground open the second Friday in April and close after the end of deer season in mid-December.
Each cottage sleeps five people and has:

- Electric lights and outlets
- Electric heat
- Bunkbeds
- Porch
- Picnic table and fire ring
- Nearby shower house
Dogs permitted in Camping Cottage #1 for a fee.
Deluxe Camping Cottage
♿ A deluxe camping cottage in the Russell P. Letterman Campground opens the second Friday in April and closes after the end of deer season in mid-December.
The deluxe cottage sleeps five and has:
- 2 rooms
- Four-burner electric range and a and microwave oven
- Countertop and cabinets
- Refrigerator
- Table and chairs
- Wooden walls and floors
- Windows
- Electric lights and outlets
- Electric heat
- Bunk beds
- Porch
- Picnic table and fire ring
- Nearby shower house
Yurts
♿ Two round, canvas and wood yurts in the Russell P. Letterman Campground open the second Friday in April and close after the end of deer season in mid-December.
A yurt sleeps six and has:
- Canvas and wood walls, with windows
- Wood floor
- Four-burner electric range and a microwave oven
- Countertop and cabinets
- Refrigerator
- Table and chairs

- Bunk beds
- Skylight/vent
- Porch

Dogs are permitted at Yurt B for a fee.
The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle
♿ Experience the beauty of Bald Eagle State Park in The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle. The 18,500-square-foot, 16-room building overlooks the park’s lake and provides full-service accommodations.
This modern inn, unique to the park system, focuses on outdoor recreation and stewardship, making maximum use of green building technologies, while serving as a premier interpretive facility for bird watching.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted in this overnight facility and associated curtilage only. Alcohol possession and consumption is restricted to the holder of the reservation permit and invited guests age 21 and older. Responsible and legal alcohol consumption is required, and violations are grounds for removal from the state park without refund.
Note that alcohol possession and consumption in all other overnight facilities and all other areas of state parks is prohibited.
