Swiftwater Solar is a planned solar farm by Apex Clean Energy of Charlottesville, VA that consists of an 80-megawatt facility that is expected to generate enough energy to power over 14,000 homes per year. The solar farm will be built on 644 acres of land in Pocono Township, the project itself will encompass 476 acres. A National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) permit has been issued by the department for construction purposes related to the project.
