​The Agriculture Compliance Section develops regulations, policies, guidance, outreach, and inspection strategies for compliance assessment, compliance assistance, and enforcement of regulatory programs relating to agriculture runoff. The work of this section includes activities relating to the regulation of erosion and sedimentation control for agriculture, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), and manure management planning on farms. This section deals with the compliance assessment, enforcement, outreach, and compliance assistance elements of these programs.


Chesapeake Bay Agricultural Inspections

The Chesapeake Bay Agricultural Inspection Program (CBAIP) ensures non-CAO and non-CAFO agricultural operations are meeting their legal requirements for conservation compliance and helps ensure farmers and the county get credit towards reaching the Chesapeake Bay Program clean water goals.
