What's New

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) is trying to get the word out on this year’s FEMA 2024 Non-Disaster Mitigation Grants that both application periods open on January 6, 2025.  The first grant is called the Building Resilient Infrastructure & Communities (BRIC); this grant has $750 Million (down from last years 2 Billion) to be competitively applied for (minus tribal and state set-asides).  Additionally, the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant will have $600 million available in this year’s national application competition.

Information for both grants can be found on the following grant links:

BRIC - https://www.fema.gov/grants/mitigation/learn/building-resilient-infrastructure-communities

FMA - https://www.fema.gov/grants/mitigation/learn/flood-mitigation-assistance

AFTER reviewing the fact sheets, attached PEMA documents, and the Notice of Funding Opportunities for each of the grants – eligible applicant agents need to send us a Non-Contractual/REQUIRED Letter of Interest (LOI) form to PEMA at RA-Shazmitoff@pa.gov .  All PEMA Letters of Interest (LOI)/Pre-Applications must be sent to PEMA by COB/1600 hours, February 14, 2025.

This form can be found on the PEMA Website at:  https://www.pema.pa.gov/Grants/HMGP/Forms/Documents/19-Non-Disaster-HM-Grants-Letter-Of-Interest.pdf

All COMPLETE 2024 Non-Disaster FULLY COMPLETED Applications are due by COB (1600 EST) Friday, March 21, 2025
