Celebrate Women Powering Agriculture on Thursday, January 9, 9 AM in the Small Arena, when featured speaker Dr. Temple Grandin, innovative professor, and best-selling author, will bring her unique perspective on problem-solving and understanding animals to anchor the day, courtesy of Friends of Farm Show Foundation. Her speech and a fireside chat will kick off a half-day series of conversations, interactive demos, and networking opportunities celebrating some of the powerful women who are leading Pennsylvania agriculture today and shaping the industry tomorrow.

Whether it’s a new, demure & mindful Oberholsi dairy goats, Cow & Calf mama-baby teams, Dry and Sweet Fruit Ciders, Fall Harvest-themed Quilt Creations, Garden Tractors, or new Home Veggie Canning categories competing for honors, or even a demo keeping your family and farm safe around power generation, there is something new in every barn, on every stage, and in every arena.

Youth will be strutting their gobblers’ stuff and showing off how well they’ve raised their birds during Turkey Showmanship, for the first time in 2025. Market turkeys will be shown and included in the Jr. Market Livestock Sale that helps fund the animals the students raise over the next year. Ornamental eggs, feathers, and market birds are back for 2025, while other poultry classes are still limited to photos to protect our $7.1 billion poultry industry from the spread of avian influenza.
