WCSF - 2009 Assesment Refund

Act 54 of 2024 requires a refund of the 2009 Workers' Compensation Security Fund (“WCSF") assessment to be issued upon request, to eligible carriers that originally paid the assessment as required by Pennsylvania Bulletin Notice 2010-01, originally issued on January 16, 2010.

How to Apply for a 2009 Assessment Refund

The WCSF 2009 Assessment Refund application period closed on February 24, 2025 at 5:00 PM.  No further applications are being accepted at this time.

​How are Refund Payments Processed?

Once an application is submitted it will be reviewed to ensure the information is accurate and complete. If additional information is required, the WCSF Assessment Refund Team will reach out and request the necessary information.

After all the necessary information has been collected a determination will be made. If the application is approved, the carrier will receive notification of the approval and the refund will be sent via electronic ACH deposit within 60 days of the approval. If the application is denied the carrier will receive a notification explaining the reason for the denial.​
