A resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on almost 2 miles of Route 8 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County is scheduled to start May 2, 2025.
The project will include resurfacing 1.76 miles of roadway in the area of Cross Creek Resort in Cherrytree Township. Work will include milling and paving, along with curb ramps, drainage upgrades, guiderail, and pavement markings.
Construction is expected to begin May 2, 2025, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by June 13, 2025.
No detours are expected in connection with the project. Motorists may encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers.
Drivers should anticipate travel delays during active work hours.
The contractor is Shields Asphalt Paving of Valencia, PA. The contract cost is $859,650, which is to be paid entirely with state funds.
