Paving to Occur on Route 28 in Jefferson County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing an upcoming paving project on Route 28 between Summerville and Brookville in Clover and Rose townships, Jefferson County.

April 28 through September 15, flaggers will facilitate daytime single lane restrictions as Route 28 between Sandy Flat Road and South Main Street is paved.  The project also includes drainage and guiderail updates.

Motorists should use caution and be aware of construction vehicles entering and exiting the highway in conjunction with the Baxter Bridge project on Route 28.

Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker of State College, PA will be completing this $4.3 million project with a projected completion date in November 2025.
