Northbound Route 51 Clairton Boulevard Turning Lane Restriction Begins Tuesday in Pleasant Hills

North Lewis Run Road to northbound Route 51 restrictions

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a turning lane restriction on northbound Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard) in Pleasant Hills Borough, Allegheny County will begin Tuesday, December 31 weather permitting.

The left-hand turn lane from northbound Route 51 to East Bruceton Road will close to traffic as needed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through mid-January.  Crews will conduct traffic loop sensor repair work. Left-hand turns will still be permitted from the right-hand lane at the intersection.

Additionally, right-hand turns from North Lewis Run Road to northbound Route 51 will not be permitted weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through mid-January. Traffic from North Lewis Run Road will be permitted to turn left onto southbound Route 51 or continue straight to Sheetz. Crews will conduct traffic loop sensor repair work.

No work will occur on Wednesday, January 1.

Crews from Traffic Control and Engineering will conduct the work.
