Route 1001 Freeport Road Signal Upgrade Work Starts Next Week in Aspinwall, O’Hara

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing traffic signal upgrade work on Freeport Road (Route 1001) in Aspinwall Borough and O’Hara Township, Allegheny County will begin Monday, December 18 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur on Freeport Road between 23rd Street in Aspinwall and Fox Chapel Road in O’Hara Township weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through early April. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Crews from Bronder Technical Services will conduct signal retiming, minor signal upgrades, and other miscellaneous construction.
