Uniontown, PA – Fayette County Maintenance Manager, Jason L. Spangler, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of May 15, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Bridge replacement is scheduled for:
- Route 1051 (Breakneck Road) in Bullskin Township
Bridge flushing is scheduled for:
- Route 119 (George C Marshall Highway) in South Union Township
- Route 40 (George C Marshall Highway) in South Union Township
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 2010 (Chalk Hill / Ohiopyle Road) in Wharton / Stewart Townships
Shoulder repair is scheduled for:
- Route 381 (Champion and Melcroft Road) in Saltlick Township
- Route 1054 (Indian Head Road) in Saltlick Township
- Route 2003 (Wharton Furnace Road) in Wharton Township
Seal coat is scheduled for:
- Route 1031 (Broadford Road) in Upper Tyrone Township
- Route 1038 (Hickory square Road) in Lower and Upper Tyrone Townships
- Route 1039 (Leisenring Vanderbilt Road) in Dunbar and North Union Townships
- Route 1053 (Arch bridge Road) in Dunbar Township
Litter pickup is scheduled for:
- Route 119 (George C Marshall Highway) in North Union Township
Sign review is scheduled for:
- Route 40 in Menallen and Redstone Townships
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
