Uniontown, PA – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Susan Howard, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of May 8, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Crack sealing is scheduled for:
- Route 844 (Washington Road and Jefferson Avenue) in Independence and Hopewell Townships, and the City of Washington
- Route 136 (Main Street and Dry Run Road) in Somerset, Nottingham and Carroll Townships and the City of Monongahela
Sweeping is scheduled for:
- Route 18 (Henderson Road, Burgettstown Road and Main Street) in Chartiers, Mt. Pleasant, Smith and Hanover Townships and Burgettstown Borough
- Route 844 (Washington Road and Jefferson Avenue) in Independence, Canton and Hopewell Townships
- Route 4029 (Cross Creek Road) in Cross Creek and Smith Townships
Boom mowing is scheduled for:
- Route 4035 (Lynn Portal Road, Eberle Road, and Old Ridge Road) in Cross Creek Township
- Route 4045 (Willow Road and Eberle Road) in Hopewell and Mt. Pleasant Townships
- Route 4043 (North Buffalo Road) in Hopewell Township
Slide repair is scheduled for:
- Route 2081 (Daisytown Road) in West Pike Run Township
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 3026 (Enon Church Road) in West Finley Township
- Route 3041 (Cash Day Road) in Morris Township
- Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris Township
- Route 3009 (Sunset Beach Road) in East Finley and Buffalo Townships
- Route 3035 (Rocky Run Road and Craft Creek Road) in West Finley, East Finley and Morris Townships
- Route 3033 (Sparta Road) in Morris Township
- Route 3014 (Vaneal Road) in South Franklin Township
- Route 3022 (Mt. Zion Road) in Morris Township
- Route 3029 (Burnsville Ridge Road and Pleasant Grove Road) in West Finley, East Finley and South Franklin Townships
- Route 3027 (Chapel Hill Road) in East Finley Township
- Route 221 (South Bridge Road, Green Valley Road, Buffalo Creek Road) in Morris, Buffalo, South Franklin and Blaine Townships
Bridge crew is scheduled for:
- Route 3021 (Old Brick Road) in West Finley Township
Brushing crew is scheduled for: - Route 3026 (Enon Church Road) in East and West Finley Townships
Mowing crew is scheduled for: - Route 221 (South Bridge Road) in Buffalo Township
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
