Public Meeting Announced for Bebout Road and East McMurray Road Intersection Project, Washington County

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT's) Engineering District 12, along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the community to participate in an open-house format public meeting to review and comment on the Bebout Road and East McMurray Road Intersection Project in Peters Township, Washington County.

Representatives from PennDOT and the project team will be available to answer questions and take comments regarding the project. 

The public meeting will be held on the following date, time and at the location listed below: 

Date:               Wednesday, June 21, 2023

Time:              5:30 PM to 7:00 PM 

Location:        Peters Township Municipal Building  (Council  Chambers)

McMurray, PA  15317

This project includes widening of Route 1002 (East McMurray Road) to include northbound and southbound left-turn lanes with a minor alignment shift and widening of Route 1019 (Bebout Road) to include a westbound right-turn lane. Local road Bittersweet Circle will be slightly realigned to the east.

A final alternative has been chosen for this project, which will be displayed at the open house.  A proposed construction schedule and detour routes will also be displayed. Representatives from PennDOT will be at the meeting to answer questions and discuss project details. No formal presentation will be given.

The in-person public meeting location complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.
