Route 88 Pennsylvania Avenue Lane Width Restrictions Scheduled to Begin Next Week in Washington County

​Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 would like to inform motorists of lane width restrictions on Route 88 (Pennsylvania Avenue) between the eastbound Interstate 70 on/off ramps and the westbound Interstate 70 on/off ramps in Speers Borough, Washington County. The restrictions will begin on Monday, July 17 and are anticipated to continue through early November, weather and operational dependent.

Route 88 (Pennsylvania Avenue) will have 11.5 feet lane width restrictions in both directions. The existing two lanes will be maintained and shifted onto the shoulders.

Please use caution while driving through the area and be alert for workers and construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.

Crews from Allison Park Contractors, Inc. will be performing the work as part of a $1.15 million bridge improvement of the structure carrying Route 88 (Pennsylvania Avenue) over a tributary to the Monongahela River in Speers Borough, Washington County.
