PennDOT Announces Webpage for Bebout Road and East McMurray Road Intersection Improvement Project in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 invites the public to view its new webpage dedicated to the Bebout Road and East McMurray Road Intersection Improvement Project in Peters Township, Washington County.

The project includes widening Route 1002 (East McMurray Road) to include northbound and southbound left-turn lanes with a minor alignment shift and widening Route 1019 (Bebout Road) to include a westbound right-turn lane. Local road Bittersweet Circle will be slightly realigned to the east. ADA-compliant crosswalks will be provided across all legs of the proposed intersection.

This safety project, an infrastructure investment of $4 million, aims to improve mobility and address congestion at the intersection. Depending on weather and operations, it is anticipated to be completed by year’s end.
