PennDOT’s Greene County Maintenance Update

Week of April 21, 2025

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Greene County Maintenance Manager Dale Baird has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 21. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Bridge replacement:

  • Route 3001 (Aleppo Road) in Aleppo Township
    • Road closed. Posted detour:
      • Route 3001 (Windy Gap Road)
      • Route 3003 (Riggle Road)
      • Route 3012 (Green Valley Road)

Litter and debris removal:

  • Interstate 79 in Franklin, Perry, Washington, and Whiteley townships
  • Various routes countywide

Pipe replacement prep:

  • Route 2003 (Buckeye Road) in Perry Township

Slide repair prep:   

  • Route 4029 (WW Railroad) in Morris and Washington townships

Spray patching:

  • Various routes countywide 

Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.

PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, available free of charge 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
