Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 21. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Base repair:
- Route 31 (Summit Road) in Donegal Township
- Route 3017 (Nicholls Hill Road) in Rostraver Township
Bridge flushing:
- Various routes in Hempfield Township
Ditch cleaning:
- Route 381 (Weavertown Road) in Donegal and Cook townships
- Route 2025 (Clay Pike) in Mount Pleasant Township
- Route 3017 (Nicholls Hill Road) in Rostraver Township
Patching:
- Route 30 in Latrobe and Derry townships
- Route 66 in Washington Township
- Route 366 in Washington Township
Paving:
- Route 3071 (Arona Road) in New Stanton Borough
Pipe installation:
- Route 3077 (Penn-Adamsburg Road) in Hempfield Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Various routes in Hempfield and Rostraver townships
- Route 1022 (Latrobe-Crabtree Road) in Unity Township
Sweeping:
- Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Ligonier Township
- Route 31 (Donegal Road) in Donegal Borough
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
