Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing scheduled single-lane restrictions on Route 19 (Greene and High Streets) in Waynesburg Borough, Greene County, beginning Monday, April 21.
Crews from Gulisek Construction will be repairing asphalt in localized areas between Morris Street and Porter Street. The lane restrictions are anticipated through Thursday, April 24, and all work depends on weather and operations.
Motorists are asked to use caution and allow extra travel time. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
This work follows the $11.8 million Waynesburg Betterment Project completed in October 2024. Betterment construction consisted of new foundation and conduit installation for new traffic signals, roadway reconstruction, repaving, and ADA ramp replacement along the Route 19/21 corridor. The improvements resulted in a safe and efficient route for all modes of transportation through Waynesburg’s downtown business district.
