Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 21. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge cleaning:
- Route 40 (National Pike/Yough Lake) in Henry Clay Township
- Route 40 (National Pike/Hopwood ramps) in Henry Clay Township
- Route 119 (George C. Marshall Parkway) in South Union Township
- Route 281 (Mae West Road) in Henry Clay Township
- Route 381 (Farmington Ohiopyle Road) in Wharton Township
- Various routes in the Connellsville area
Bridge replacement:
- Route 1002 (Banning Road) over a branch of Laurel Run
- Between Keffer Road and Route 1041 (Chaintown Road/School Road)

Paving:
- Route 1031 (Owensdale Road) in Upper Tyrone Township
- Route 1058 (County Line Road) in Saltlick Township
Pipe flushing:
- Route 166 (New Geneva/Masontown/Woodside Road) in Nicholson Township
Sign upgrading:
- Various routes countywide
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
