Uniontown, PA – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Susan Howard, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 14, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 40 (National Pike to Chestnut Street) in Donegal Township and Washington;
- Route 3011 (Lake Road) in Donegal Township; and
- Route 3003 (Dry Ridge Road) in Donegal Township.
Seal coating is scheduled for:
- Route 4012 (Center Street to Noblestown Road) in Smith and Cecil townships;
- Route 4017 (Atlas Cherry Valley Road to Phillis Road) in Smith Township;
- Route 4021 (Company Farm Road) in Smith Township;
- Route 4028 (Main Street) in Burgettstown Borough; and
- Route 4031 (Atlasburg Road) in Cross Creek Township.
Bridge repair is scheduled for:
- Route 231 (East Finley Drive) in East Finley Township; and
- Route 3021 (McGuffey Road) in West Finley Township.
Base repair is scheduled for:
- Route 3022 (Mount Zion Road) in Morris Township; and
- Route 3037 (Ackley Creek Road) in West Finley Township.
Ditch/inlet cleaning/repair is scheduled for:
- Route 2032 (Deer Run Lane) in West Pike Run Township; and
- Route 2039 (Main Street) in East Bethlehem Township.
Mowing is scheduled for:
- Interstate 70, Ramp 8014 (Jefferson Avenue) and Ramp 8025 (Donora);
- Route 519 Park and Ride, Ramps 9501 and 9503 in North Strabane Township;
- Interstate 79 Park and Ride, Ramp 9504 (Beau Street) in South Strabane Township;
- Route 22, Ramp 8046 in Hanover Township; and
- Route 221 (South Bridge Road) in Claysville Borough.
- Route 4012 (Center Street to Noblestown Road) in Smith Township;
- Route 4015 (Waterdam Road to Joffre Cherry Valley Road) in Mount Pleasant and Smith townships;
- Route 4017 (Atlas Cherry Valley Road to Phillis Road) in Smith Township;
- Route 4021 (Company Farm Road) in Smith Township;
- Route 4028 (Main Street) in Burgettstown Borough;
- Route 4031 (Atlasburg Road) in Cross Creek Township;
- Route 4033 (Rae Road) in Cross Creek Township;
- Route 4035 (Lynn Portal Road to Old Ridge Road) in Canton and Cross Creek townships; and
- Route 50 (Avella Road) in Independence Township.
- Route 2022 (Barr Run Road) in West Bethlehem Township.
- Interstate 70 in Donegal and Buffalo townships.
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
