Uniontown, PA – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Susan Howard, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of May 30, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Patching is scheduled for:
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover, Robinson, and Smith Townships
- Route 18 (Burgettstown Road) in Mt. Pleasant and Smith Townships
- Route 50 (Avella Road) in Independence and Cross Creek Townships
- Interstate 70 in Canton and South Strabane Townships
Rock lining is scheduled for:
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Smith and Hanover Townships
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 3041 (Cash Day Road) in Morris Township
- Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris Township
- Route 3026 (Enon Church Road) in East Finley and West Finley Townships
- Route 3014 (Vaneal Road) in South Franklin Township
- Route 231 (East Finley Drive, North Road) in East Finley, Donegal, and Blaine Townships
Sweeping is scheduled for:
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover and Smith Townships
Surface treatment is scheduled for:
- Route 1024 (Second Street) in Donora Borough
- Route 1073 (Sampson Church Road) in Carroll Township
- Route 2012 (Walnut Road and Fourth Street) in Fallowfield Township and North Charleroi Borough
- Route 2037 (Twin Bridges Road) in Fallowfield Township
Subbase repair is scheduled for:
- Route 18 (Burgettstown Road and Burgettstown Florence Road) in Mt. Pleasant, Smith, and Hanover Townships
- Route 50 (Avella Road) in Mt. Pleasant Township
Concrete joint sealing is scheduled for:
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover and Smith Townships
Bridge repair is scheduled for:
- Route 3021 (Old Brick Road) in West Finley Township
Mowing is scheduled for:
- Route 221 (South Bridge Road, Green Valley Road, and Buffalo Creek Road) in Buffalo and Blaine Townships
- Interstate 70, Ramp 8025 (Donora) and Ramp 8014 (Jefferson Avenue)
- Route 519 Park n Ride, (Ramp 9503 and 9501) in North Strabane Township
- Interstate 79 Park n Ride, (Ramp 9504- Beau Street) in South Strabane Township
- Route 22, (Ramp 8046)
Brushing is scheduled for:
- Route 3026 (Enon Church Road), East Finley Township
Boom mowing is scheduled for:
- Route 2041 (Beallsville Road) in Beallsville and Ellsworth Borough
- Route 4035 (Lynn Portal Road and Eberle Road) in Canton, Mt. Pleasant and Cross Creek Townships
- Route 4043 (North Buffalo Road) in Hopewell Township
- Route 4045 (Willow and Eberle Roads) in Hopewell and Mt. Pleasant Townships
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
