Route 136 over Pollock Run to Close Today in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a portion of Route 136 (West Newton Road) in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County is scheduled to close today, Thursday, February 13.

The structure carrying Route 136 (West Newton Road) over Pollock Run, located between Route 3023 (Coal Hollow Road) and Route 201 (Rostraver Road), will be closed for safety purposes. The closure is anticipated to remain in place through late August.

The posted detour for each direction will utilize Route 51, Route 201, and Route 136.

A $5.28 million replacement project for the structure is currently in construction with contractor Ligonier Construction Company. Preliminary construction activities are currently occurring.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
