Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a portion of Little Mexico Road (Route 1013) will be closed next Thursday in Jackson Township, Snyder County, for bridge maintenance.
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, Little Mexico Road will be closed on each side of the truss bridge over Penns Creek, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) bridge crew performs bridge cleaning. Work includes cleaning the bridge deck, abutment bearings, and horizontal beam surfaces. A specialized crane will be used to assist with performing cleaning of the abutment bearings.
A detour using Route 204 and Route 304 will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:45 AM and 2:30 PM, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution.
