Columbia County I-80 Roadside Rest Areas to Close Next Week for Upgrades

Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Columbia County Rest Areas on Interstate 80 eastbound and westbound, located at mile marker 246, will be closed to motorists starting on Thursday, February 20, 2025, through August 2025, to accommodate renovations and construction efforts. The closure includes the parking areas.

Work includes upgrades to the current comfort facilities, to the utility lines, and the water treatment plants. The closure also includes the parking areas. Motorists should make plans to seek alternative parking and comfort facilities while construction is ongoing.

Additional notification will be sent as buildings reopen.
