Dunmore, PA – PennDOT has reopened the Parker Street Bridge in both directions following 10 months of construction. The bridge will close again in the spring for approximately one month to complete final construction that could not be carried out during the winter months.
A public meeting was held in 2021 to introduce the project in collaboration with the City of Scranton. For more information on the project, you can visit the Parker Street Bridge Replacement Project page on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's website.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
