Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that line striping is planned on several state highways in Philadelphia under a $7.5 million project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Callowhilll Street.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Callowhill Street.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Broad Street (Route 611).
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Front Street.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Packer Avenue.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the Enterprise Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-95.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the Enterprise Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-95.
- Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Route 291 (Penrose Avenue).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
