King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that milling and paving operations are planned on several state highways in Chester and Bucks counties under several ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Broad Run Road between Good Hope Road and Newark Road in London Britain and New Garden townships, Chester County.
- Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on North Creek Road between Glenloch Drive and Chesterville Road in Franklin Township, Chester County.
- Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Corby Road/Pennock Bridge Road between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Route 841 (Wickerton Road) in Franklin, New London, and Penn townships, Chester County.
- Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Clay Creek Road/Northbank Road between Church Hill Road and Chesterville Road in Franklin and London Britain townships, Chester County.
- Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Stricklersville Road between Route 472 (Lewisville Road) and the London Britain Township line in Elk and Franklin townships, Chester County.
- Monday, March 31, through Friday, May 16, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike/Maple Avenue) between Buck Road and Lincoln Highway in Middletown and Lower Southampton townships, and Langhorne Borough, Bucks County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
