PennDOT to Repair Potholes Next Week on More Than 30 State Highways in the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PennDOT maintenance crews will be working on more than 30 state highways next week to repair deteriorated pavement in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The Philadelphia region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.

PennDOT would like to remind motorists that potholes can be reported to PennDOT’s Customer Care Center by visiting www.customercare.penndot.pa.gov. To date, since January 1, 2025, District 6 has received over 4,300 customer concerns regarding potholes.

Motorists are advised of travel restrictions and possible slowdowns next week when driving near work crews patching potholes at the following locations:

Bucks County

·         Allentown Road, Milford Township.

·         Hulmeville Avenue, Penndel Borough.

·         Market Street/5th Street, Perkasie Borough.

·         Steinburg Road, Milford Township.

Chester County

·         Route 23 (Valley Forge Road), Schuylkill Township.

·         Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike), Avondale Borough.

·         Route 162 (Strasburg Road), East Bradford Township.

·         Route 252 (Leopard Road/Paoli Road), Easttown Township.

·         Birchrun Road/Flowing Springs Road, West Vincent Township.

·         Merlin Road/Yellow Springs Road, Charlestown Township.

·         Old Baltimore Pike, Oxford Borough, Penn and Lower Oxford townships.

·         Romansville Road, West Bradford Township.          

Delaware County

·         Route 320, Marple Township.

·         Burmont Road, Upper Darby Township.

·         Chelsea Road, Aston Township.

·         Hook Road, Darby Township.

·         Manoa Road, Haverford Township.

·         Marple Road, Marple Township.

·         Orange Street, Media Borough.

·         Rose Valley Road, Nether Providence Township.

·         Wannamaker Avenue, Tinicum Township.

Montgomery County

·         Sanatoga Road/Bleim Road, Lower Pottsgrove Township.

Philadelphia County

·         I-95.

·         Academy Road.

·         Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.

·         Borbeck Avenue.

·         Bridge Street.

·         Castor Avenue.

·         Cottman Avenue

·         Frankford Avenue.

·         Harbison Avenue.

·         Keystone Street.

·         New State Road.

·         Princeton Avenue.

·         Rhawn Street.

·         Robbins Avenue.

·         State Road.

·         Tacony Street.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in the work zone and refrain from distracted driving to keep themselves and our workers safe.
