PennDOT to Repair Potholes Next Week on More Than 40 State Highways in the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PennDOT maintenance crews will be working on more than 40 state highways next week to repair deteriorated pavement in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The Philadelphia region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.

PennDOT would like to remind motorists that potholes can be reported to PennDOT’s Customer Care Center by visiting www.customercare.penndot.pa.gov. To date, since January 1, 2025, District 6 has received over 3,700 customer concerns regarding potholes.

Motorists are advised of travel restrictions and possible slowdowns next week when driving near work crews patching potholes at the following locations:

Bucks County

·         Almhouse Road, Warwick Township and Doylestown Borough.

·         Bristol Road, Warrington and New Britain townships.

·         Elephant Road, Bedminster Township.

·         Kellers Church Road, Bedminster Township.

·         New Galena Road, New Britain Township.

Chester County

·         U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Sadsbury, Valley, Caln, East Caln, and West Whiteland townships.

·         U.S. 202, Tredyffrin, East Whiteland and West Goshen townships.

·         Chestnut Tree Road, Honeybrook Township.

·         Corner Ketch Road, East Brandywine Township.

·         Hollow Road, West Vincent Township.

·         Merlin Road, Charlestown Township.

·         Old Baltimore Pike, Lower Oxford Township.    

Delaware County

·         U.S. 1, Springfield Township

·         Route 352, Middletown Township

·         Manoa Road, Haverford Township.

·         King of Prussia Road, Radnor Township.

Montgomery County

·         U.S. 422, Lower Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, Limerick, Upper Providence, Lower Providence, and Upper Merion townships.

·         Route 63 (Main Street/Sumneytown Pike), Green Lane Borough and Upper Salford Township.

·         Route 663 (Layfield Road/Pottstown Avenue), Pennsburg Borough, Upper Hanover and Douglass townships.

·         Grosstown Road, West Pottsgrove Township.

·         Norristown Road/Township Line Road, Whitpain, East Norriton, and Worcester townships.

·         Orvilla Road/Troxel Road, Towamencin and Hatfield townships.

Philadelphia County

·         I-95.

·         U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard).

·         Academy Road.

·         Allegheny Avenue.

·         Aramingo Avenue.

·         Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.

·         Borbeck Avenue.

·         Bridge Street.

·         Castor Avenue.

·         Cottman Avenue

·         Frankford Avenue.

·         Harbison Avenue.

·         Keystone Street.

·         New State Road.

·         Princeton Avenue.

·         Rhawn Street.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in the work zone and refrain from distracted driving to keep themselves and our workers safe.
