Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead bridge construction is planned tomorrow night on Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia under PennDOT’s $270 million I-95/BS2 project that will reconstruct I-95 in both directions from Margaret Street to Carver Street.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Wednesday, December 4, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, Tacony Street will be closed between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
