Overhead Bridge Construction to Close Section of Bridge Street Next Week in Northeast Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead Interstate 95 bridge construction will close a section of Bridge Street and reduce lanes on Tacony Street next week in Northeast Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

During the closure, northbound Bridge Street motorists will detour left on Tacony Street and then right on Aramingo Avenue. Southbound motorists will detour right on Aramingo Avenue, left on Orthodox Street, left on LeFevre Street, right on Aramingo Avenue, and right on Tacony Street.

The work is part of PennDOT’s ongoing I-95/BS2 project that will reconstruct I-95 in both directions between Margaret Street and Carver Street.
