King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improvements are scheduled next week on U.S. 422 under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a periodic lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) in Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County.
- Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a periodic lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) in Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County.
- Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Keim Street in North Coventry Township, Chester County.
- Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Keim Street in North Coventry Township, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
