Emergency Repairs Next Week on Emmitsburg Road Bridge Spanning Route 15 Near Gettysburg in Adams County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that emergency repairs are planned for next week on the Emmitsburg Road (Route 3001) bridge spanning Route 15 at the Bus 15/Steinwehr Avenue Exit near Gettysburg in Adams County. A recent inspection revealed steel repairs were needed for the structure.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday, November 11, through Thursday, November 14.

There will be short-term lane closures in both directions of Route 15 during work hours. There may be full closures, as needed, with traffic being detoured via the on- and off-ramps at the exit.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
