Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an online plans display regarding the Route 624 (Long Level Road) bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge spans Cabin Creek in Lower Windsor Township, York County, PA.
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing bridge superstructure.
The project consists of the replacement of an existing single-span, reinforced concrete T-beam superstructure originally constructed in 1931. The proposed superstructure is a single-span, two-lane concrete PA Bulb-Tee beam. The proposed structure will carry two (2) travel lanes (10.5-foot) with 1.5-foot shoulders. The proposed project will closely match the existing roadway horizontal and vertical alignments.
The project is currently in design and it is anticipated to start construction during the 2027 construction season. Construction is anticipated to occur in through winter and the roadway opened to traffic by Memorial Day.
A digital version of the information will be available to view online from April 21, 2025, to May 21, 2025.
