The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists of a long-term detour of Route 2101 (Cooney Road) in Munster Township, Cambria County, from Monday, April 21, 2025, through the bridge replacement project’s anticipated completion in October 2025.
On April 21, Contractors Plum Contracting, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., will set the project detour along with a 15-feet lane restriction on U.S. 22 for the $2,888,700.19 bridge project, which is expected to be completed in October 2025.
The Route 2101 (Cooney Road) detour will use the U.S. 22 Munster interchange, Route 2014 (Admiral Peary Highway) and Carney crossing Road.
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage.
