Expanded operating hours at Huntingdon Driver License Center during closure
Lewistown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Lewistown Driver License Center at 13217 Ferguson Valley Road in Yeagertown will be closed this week due to storm damage from the weekend.
The extensive repair work, which will be completed on an expedited schedule, includes a complete roof replacement and interior repairs. The facility will close Tuesday, March 18 and will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday, March 25.
“As a result of the extensive damage caused by this weekend’s storms, we need to close the facility in order to make repairs,” said PennDOT Deputy Secretary for Driver and Vehicle Services Kara Templeton. “We understand that this is inconvenient for our customers who rely on the Lewistown center, and we’re working to complete these repairs as quickly as possible, and are expanding operating hours at the Huntingdon Driver License Center to ensure continued access for customers in that area.”
During the repairs, the Huntingdon Driver License Center at 9048 William Penn Highway, Suite 1, in Huntingdon will increase its operations to five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, with expanded hours from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. Photo services will be available Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. PennDOT’s Lewistown Driver License Center employees will be temporarily reassigned to the Huntingdon Driver License Center.
Customers who have a scheduled driving exam at the Lewistown Driver License Center during the closure will be contacted and offered the same exam date and time at the Huntingdon Driver License Center.
