The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is hosting a second public scoping meeting on the State College Area Connector Project on Thursday, May 8, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wyndham Garden State College, 310 Elks Club Road, Boalsburg, PA 16827. The study team will provide refined alternative alignments to the North, Central, and South alternatives presented in August 2024 along with PennDOT’s recommended preferred alternative to advance for further design.
This will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to view meeting exhibits and meet with the study team to ask questions and make comments. Written comments from the public regarding the project may be submitted by mail to PennDOT District 2-0, attention Eric Murnyack or Leigh Woolridge, 70 PennDOT Drive, Clearfield, PA 16830. Comments may also be submitted via email to emurnyack@pa.gov or lwoolridge@pa.gov or online via the study webpage www.PennDOT.pa.gov/SCAC.
The meeting materials and exhibits for this second public scoping meeting will also be available on the study webpage starting Monday, May 5, and will be presented in English. The purpose of the State College Area Connector project is to improve roadway congestion and address safety issues along the Route 322 corridor between Potters Mills and Boalsburg. Additionally, the project will aim to provide a transportation network that meets driver expectations.
