Route 54 - Bridge Replacement Project, Derry Township, Montour County

Project Overview

The project includes the replacement of the existing bridge that carries Route 54 (Continental Boulevard) over Stony Brook in Derry Township, Montour County.  The existing bridge is proposed to be replaced with a reinforced concrete box culvert, and the project will include minor adjustments to the approach roadway pavement, and installation of guide rail at the structure location.  Traffic will be maintained during construction along State Route 54 by constructing a two-lane temporary roadway along the eastern side of the roadway.  Both Route 3010 (Stecker Mill Road) and local roadway (Hillside Road or T-384) are proposed to be temporarily detoured during construction.  Additionally, microsurfacing and other paving activities will be completed from approximately 0.5 miles south of Washingtonville in Derry Township to approximately 1.9 miles north of Danville in Valley Township.
