A $6.8 million project is underway through fall 2024 to repair pavement and perform accelerated concrete patching on a four-mile section of eastbound U.S. 422 from just east of Route 29 (Collegeville Road) to just east of the Pawlings Road overpass in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County.

PennDOT's contractor will repair existing pavement with accelerated concrete patching; perform bridge deck repair, diamond grinding, and joint sealing; and install reflective pavement markings.

During construction, there will be lane closures on eastbound U.S. 422 within the project limits during off-peak travel times to minimize the impact to traffic.
