Governor Shapiro Recognizes Office of the Budget Employees for  Exceptional Management of COVID-19 Pandemic Grant Funding

OCTOBER 23, 2023 - Governor Josh Shapiro honors eight employees from the Office of the Budget with Governor’s Awards for Excellence in recognition of their work to manage billions in COVID-19 pandemic recovery funds for the Commonwealth. Pennsylvania has received nearly $7.3 billion under the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

“The Budget team came together quickly, working efficiently and effectively to respond to the challenges that come with this enormous opportunity for the Commonwealth,” said Secretary of the Budget Uri Monson. “The employees recognized today have consistently met federal deadlines and maintained technical and thorough documentation that will ensure Pennsylvanians continue to benefit from the federal dollars available under this program. I applaud them for their efforts.”
