Administrative, Clerical and General

Job Description:

This is moderately complex clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions. An employee in this class performs a variety of document-processing activities including the verification of information, arithmetic calculations, coding, and assisting the public in completing governmental forms. Duties involve the responsibility for a significant aspect of a work process, an involved single office activity which is production or control oriented, or other multiple activities which are comparable in scope and complexity.  Work may involve providing training and guidance to new employees and fulfilling a lead worker function for routine clerical operations. Work is subject to periodic changes in operating procedures and requires some adaptability to shifts in work schedule. Employees work with considerable independence within standard operating procedure.

Minimum Experience & Training: Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade;

OR

Completion of a high school business curriculum;

OR

Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledge and abilities.

Job Description:  

This is complex clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions. An employee in this class performs complex clerical work which requires the application of independent judgement. Work involves the responsibility for all aspects of a clerical process in an assigned geographic subdivision or functional area such as licensing, taxing, invoicing, or auditing; the performance of complicated office activities which are control oriented. Work includes clerical work processes or activities which are characterized by unpredictable and random inputs, making choices between different procedures to be followed; determining the appropriateness of the information that is presented for further processing. Work may involve providing training and guidance to new employees and functions as a lead worker for moderately complex clerical operations. Work normally involves making independent decisions concerning the process to be followed, the appropriateness of the information to be processed, and the actions to be taken. Work schedules and priorities are subject to unpredictable shifts due to external influences, time frame constraints, or self-imposed priority changes. Work is performed with considerable independence and little review.

Minimum Experience & Training:   

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 and educational development to the level of high school;  

OR

One year of progressively complex clerical experience and completion of high school;  

OR

Six months of moderately complex clerical experience and completion of a post high school business curriculum; 

OR

Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, and abilities.

Job Description:  

This is work is the receiving and issuing of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. An employee in this job handles the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies in a storeroom setting or the shipping and receiving of raw and finished goods in a manufacturing setting. Work includes recordkeeping duties in the receiving, storing, issuing, and care of supplies to include preparing a list of stock items to be reordered, assisting in the conduct of manual and electronic inventories, and checking items received against the purchase order. Work also includes overseeing an inmate work detail in the filling and packing of requisition orders. Work assignments involve strenuous manual work and routine clerical tasks in the maintenance of stores records. Work may include the use of mechanized storeroom equipment to move materials. A supervisor prioritizes work assignments, but the employee determines work methods used to complete the assignments. Work is reviewed for appropriate storekeeping procedures through inspections of records and stock conditions. 

Minimum Experience & Training: 

One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work

An equivalent combination of experience and training. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:  

Some positions require possession of an active PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Job Description:  

This is supervisory storekeeping work in the operation of a storeroom handling perishable or valuable stock in a State Correctional Institution or Facility. An employee in this class is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution and recordkeeping operations of storerooms handling perishable stock such as frozen food items or medical supplies requiring refrigeration; or are responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution and recordkeeping operations of storerooms handling valuable supplies including parts necessary for engine overhaul and rebuilding work; or are responsible for supervising the functions of employees performing specialized stores work.  Employees are responsible for supervising subordinate employees performing varied manual and clerical tasks within one or more storerooms.   

Minimum Experience & Training: 

Four years of experience in stores control work, including two years of supervisory experience or in charge of a storeroom with considerable volume and variety of commodities; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a standard high school or vocational school or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Description:  

This is professional and administrative work in providing staff and program support for the overall operation of a State Correctional Institution with an inmate population of less than 1,000. An employee in this class serves as institutional or facility accreditation coordinator which involves insuring compliance with operating standards for adult correctional institutions established by the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections.  Work also includes the administration of the inmate complaint system; the conduct of investigations and preparing reports relative to legal actions filed by inmates against institutional personnel; and acting as public information officer which involves the preparation of news media releases and holding press conferences.  An employee in this class is also responsible for chairing a variety of institutional committees and preparing correspondence and special reports for the superintendent.  The employee is required to serve as an administrative duty officer with other institutional management staff.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the superintendent and effectiveness is determined through conferences and reports. 

Minimum Experience & Training:   

Five years of experience in a Commonwealth correctional institution or facility in the areas of counseling, education, security, vocational placement, vocational training, professional personnel management, or work of an administrative/managerial nature.  

 Appropriate college level training may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis to a maximum of three years or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Description:

Job Description: 

This is professional education work in providing adult basic education instruction to inmates at a state correctional institution on an intermittent basis.  An employee in this class is responsible for developing and adapting curricula, course outlines, and lesson plans to meet the educational needs of inmates at state correctional institutions.  Work involves instructing inmates in a variety of general academic and remedial subjects such as basic math, reading, English, science, social studies, language arts, writing skills, and similar skills.  Employees use a variety of basic instructional and remedial techniques to develop the basic learning abilities of inmates, using group and individualized instructional approaches.  Duties include diagnosing and evaluating inmate achievement, potential, and progress by administering standardized and teacher constructed tests and grading classroom and homework assignments.  Work involves responsibility for monitoring inmate behavior and maintaining an effective learning environment in the classroom, maintaining security of classroom materials, completing records, reports, and forms related to the operation of classes, and evaluating inmate performances.  Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrator or principal with work review through conferences and observation for achievement of educational objectives.

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education which includes successful completion of a teaching practicum approved by the degree granting institution; OR A bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Education, Special Education, Math, English, or the general Sciences and two years of professional classroom or formalized training, instruction, or teaching experience.

Job Description:  

This is professional educational work in providing academic and vocational counseling to inmates at a state correctional institution.  An employee in this job is responsible for providing counseling and guidance services to inmates to encourage participation in educational and training programs. Work includes assessing inmate abilities and needs through tests and individual interviews to determine placement in a setting which will afford the inmate with educational growth to meet identified needs and objectives. Duties involve assisting inmates in selection of courses, post educational goals, occupational choices and continuing education and in providing guidance and counseling with inmates and teachers in resolving problems which may develop with inmates in such areas as attendance, discipline, educational progress or motivation. Work also includes maintaining records of inmate progress and preparing reports of inmate achievements for classification, parole, and employment reference purposes. An employee in this job participates in parole planning and in making recommendations regarding furlough, special privileges, or other changes in inmate status. Work is performed under the general direction of a school principal or administrator and is reviewed through conferences and an evaluation of results.

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Two years of professional experience in educational guidance and educational counseling, and a bachelor's degree in the social sciences, behavioral sciences, education, social work, or counseling; OR An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of experience in educational guidance and educational counseling. 

Special Requirements:  

Employees assigned to a Commonwealth Secondary Diploma facility must possess a valid and active Educational Specialist 1 or Educational Specialist 2 certification in the field of elementary or secondary school guidance or school counseling issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. When no candidates possess the named certifications, the candidate must be eligible for an Emergency Permit issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that is appropriate to the position. 

An employee assigned to a Commonwealth Secondary Diploma facility who was hired based on eligibility for an Emergency Permit must obtain a valid and active Educational Specialist 1 or Educational Specialist 2 certification in the field of elementary or secondary school guidance or school counseling issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Job Description:  

This is professional supervisory and administrative education work at a state correctional institution.  An employee in this job has complete responsibility for directing and administering a school within a state correctional institution.  Work involves directing and participating in the planning of educational objectives and curricula for compulsory educational programs for school age youths and non-compulsory educational programs for other students, and directly supervising the work of teachers and other staff.  Work includes scheduling classes; administering the General Educational Development (GED) program; interpreting program rules, regulations, and policies; providing for the training of staff; completing applications for federal grants; and approving the purchase of educational supplies and equipment.  Work is performed independently in accordance with established policies and stated educational objectives and is reviewed by an administrative supervisor for adherence to educational standards and attainment of the desired objectives. 

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Four years of professional educational experience, including three years as a classroom teacher or education counselor in either a public school, a licensed private school, or in an adult correctional education program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, and a bachelor's degree. 

Condition of Employment:  

An employee assigned to a Commonwealth Secondary Diploma facility must possess a valid and active Administrative (Principal K-12), Administrative I (Principal K-12), or Administrative II (Principal K-12) certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, or when no candidates possess the named certifications, must be eligible for an Emergency Permit in the area of Principal or Administrative Provisional I certification in the area of Principal issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. 

Post-Employment Requirement:  

An employee assigned to a Commonwealth Secondary Diploma facility who was hired based on eligibility for an Emergency Permit in the area of Principal or Administrative Provisional I certification in the area of Principal must obtain a valid and active Administrative I (Principal K-12) certification.

Job Description:

Work involves the design, adaptation, and use of a variety of instructional and remedial techniques to develop basic learning abilities of inmates with special educational needs using individualized and small group instructional approaches. Food Service

Job Description:  

This is lead work in the instruction and performance of routine and specialized tasks in a correctional facility food service operation. An employee in this job is responsible for assigning, participating in, and instructing inmates involved in large-scale food preparation, production, serving, and sanitation. Work includes leading and providing on-the-job food service training to assigned inmates performing a variety of food service activities including specialized tasks in the preparation and cooking of meals; ensuring conformance to established food sanitation and safety standards; maintaining safe working conditions; and enforcing security and custody regulations in the assigned work area. Work also includes requisitioning, receiving, and storing food and supplies and preparing and maintaining work records and inmate reports. Employees in this job participate in cross-training programs to become knowledgeable in all areas of the food service operation. Work is performed with a high degree of independence and is reviewed by a Corrections Food Service Supervisor for overall efficiency and effectiveness. 

Minimum Experience & Training:

Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation;

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Description:

This is supervisory work overseeing staff and inmates involved in the instruction and performance of routine and specialized tasks in a correctional facility food service operation. An employee in this job is responsible for supervising work performed in large-scale food preparation, production, serving, and sanitation on an assigned shift. Work involves supervising Corrections Food Service Instructors and overseeing on-the-job food service training provided to inmates; requisitioning supplies and equipment; preparing and maintaining work records and personnel reports; ensuring staff and inmates comply with established food sanitation and safety standards; maintaining safe working conditions; and enforcing security and custody regulations in all work areas. An employee in this job who works on the same shift as a Corrections Food Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the food service department in the absence of the manager to include performing minor administrative duties in purchasing, personnel, and menu modification. Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed by a Corrections Food Service Manager through conferences, reports, and evaluation of overall effectiveness. 

Minimum Experience & Training:   

One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor;

Three years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation, which included one year of lead work experience;

Job Description:  

This is practical nursing work in the care and treatment of individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or developmental disability or the care of individuals having difficulty meeting their daily living activities at a Commonwealth facility. 

An employee in this class implements nursing care plans by performing a  variety of practical nursing and individual/patient/resident/inmate care  duties including preparing, administering, and recording medications and  treatments prescribed by the physician and observing and reporting changes in the physical and emotional behavior of individuals/patients/residents/inmates with a mental or physical injury or  illness and/or developmental disability or individuals having difficulty meeting their daily living activities.  Work also includes taking and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and preparing and maintaining progress notes and other administrative reports as required.  Work also involves participation in carrying out the total treatment program to include habilitation and rehabilitation programs as established by the interdisciplinary treatment team and include daily living and leisure time activities.  Work may also involve charge responsibility for a living or patient care area, including responsibility for maintenance of prescribed treatment and therapeutic regimens; overseeing unlicensed personnel and requesting professional evaluation, treatment, or emergency care, as needed. Work is performed in accordance with established laws, rules, and regulations, and appropriate practical nursing standards and nursing procedures.  Supervision may be received from a Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor however, by law, nursing duties which require licensure are performed under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Physician who reviews the work in progress, through eports and by ward or living area inspections and observations.

Job Description:  

This is non-professional nursing work in the care and rehabilitation of individuals. An employee in this job performs non-professional nursing work in the direct care and rehabilitation of individuals residing in state operated facilities, such as a veterans' home, restoration center, or state correctional facility. Work involves carrying out the daily routine of individualized care plans; assisting individuals with activities of daily living, personal care needs, and rehabilitative activities; maintaining individuals' living areas; observing and reporting changes in individuals' physical condition and behavior; and documenting daily care performed and information obtained in individuals' records. Job Description

This is highly skilled and technical work in the operation of a printing plant at a state correctional institution. An employee in this class instructs and trains inmates in the production of printing material at a state correctional institution.  Work involves training and supervising inmate workers in the methods and techniques involved in the production of a variety of printed materials such as snap-out forms, stationary, bills of lading, invoices, brochures, books,  catalogs, posters, programs, business cards, forms, and stickers.   Employee exercises independent judgment concerning the technical phases of production.  Work is received in the form of work orders.  Employee may perform lead work.  Duties include responsibility for the custody and discipline of inmates assigned to the employee during work hours.  Supervision is received from a technical superior or administrative superior through personal inspections, conferences, and an analysis of production records.

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Three years of experience in varied machine or production operations in a printing shop and graduation from high school; 

OR  

Three years' experience as a Corrections Officer, including one year involving varied machine and production operations in a  printing shop; 

OR 

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Description:  

This is journey level refrigeration mechanic trades work in the vocational training of inmates at a state correctional facility.  An employee in this job provides structured on-the-job training and shop instruction for the vocational training of inmates in the refrigeration mechanic trade to promote employability upon reintegration to the community. Work involves the close supervision and instruction of inmates during classroom and on-the-job training and work assignments. Employees are responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates during training and work assignments. Four years of experience in the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products;

Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the sheet metal trade;

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the sheet metal trade. 

Job Description:  

This is skilled work involving the care, custody and control of inmates in the repair of high pressure boilers and related steam and mechanical equipment in a boiler plant operation which generates stem and/or electric supplies; or receives steam and/or electric supplies from outside vendors at a State Correctional Institution or Facility. An employee in this class performs and leads inmates in the performance of a wide variety of skilled mechanical tasks in the maintenance and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, stationary steam engines and related steam and/or electric and heating equipment.  Duties include responsibility and accountability for the care, custody, and control of inmates assigned to the employee during a work shift.   

Minimum Experience & Training: 

One year of experience in performing skilled mechanical repair work involving heavy machines; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from high school;  

OR

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Job Description

This is manual and skilled mechanical work involving the care, custody, and control of inmates in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant at a state correctional institution or facility.  An employee in this job performs the work and directs inmates on an assigned shift in the maintenance, operation, and repair of a boiler plant that generates steam, hot water, chilled water, or electricity, or receives steam, hot water, chilled water, or electric services from outside vendors. Work includes monitoring boiler plant systems and making adjustments to ensure proper operation; keeping accurate records of fuel consumption and steam, hot water, or chilled water production; and recommending changes to procedures or equipment to increase plant efficiency. Work may involve the operation of auxiliary electric generating equipment for either regular production of electricity or as a standby for emergencies. An employee in this job is also responsible for the care, custody, and control of assigned inmates during a work shift.  

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant;  

OR

 An equivalent combination of experience and training. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:  

Certain positions require possession of an active Power (Stationary) Engineer license.

Job Description:

This is supervisory and technical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant at a state correctional institution or facility.  An employee in this job is responsible for supervising the overall operations and maintenance of a boiler plant operation that generates  steam, hot water, or electricity, or receives steam, hot water or electric supplies from outside vendors at a state correctional institution or facility.  Work involves directing the continuous operation of plant equipment; developing and directing programs of ongoing preventive and emergency maintenance; and recommending needed revisions, renovations, and equipment to provide services as operating conditions change.  Work also involves developing and implementing changes to reduce operational costs and improve service efficiency.   An employee in this job is also responsible for the care, custody, and control of an inmate work crew.  Work is performed with considerable technical independence but is reviewed for service continuity and operational efficiency through reports and plant inspections. 

Minimum Experience & Training:  

Two years as a Corrections Utility Plant Operator;  

Or 

Five years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam generating plant, or steam and electric generating plant, including two years of experience as a lead operator;  

OR  

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Description:

This is work is detailed to the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant at a state correctional institution or facility. An employee in this job is responsible and accountable for the custody, discipline and security of inmates assigned to the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.  Work involves supervising inmates in the operation, maintenance and repair of motors, pumps, valves, water softeners, chemical feeders, chlorinators, filters, flow records, controllers and related water treatment equipment.  Work also involves supervising and performing the sampling and chemical testing of plant influent or effluent to ensure acceptable potability, pH level, purity, clarity, biochemical oxygen demand level, and the safety of the effluent for either human consumption or environmental protection.  Another part of the position is scheduling inmate work activities, assigning work, and reviewing work for adherence to established procedures and guidelines in the operation of a water treatment plant or on an assigned shift in a multi-shift operation.  As an instructor you will be training assigned inmates in the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment, evaluating inmate performance, and supervising plant activities. 

Minimum Experience & Training:  

One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.  

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Possession of a valid certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators as a water treatment plant operator that is equal to or higher than the highest applicable class and type of water treatment plant to be operated. Possession of a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Four years of experience in arc and gas welding of various components or structural frameworks;

This is work in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant at a state correctional institution or facility. An employee in this job is responsible for supervising inmates assigned to participate in the operation and maintenance of an institutional wastewater treatment plant.  Work involves supervising the operation, maintenance and repair of motors, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, chlorinators, digestors, aerators, grit removers, and related equipment in wastewater treatment plants.  Work also involves supervising and performing the sampling and chemical testing of plant influent or effluent to determine pH level, chlorine residual and settleable solids, the biochemical oxygen demand level, and safety of the effluent for environmental protection.  Work includes scheduling inmate work activities, assigning work, and reviewing work for adherence to established procedures and guidelines in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant or on an assigned shift in a multi-shift operation.  Work also includes training assigned inmates in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment, evaluating inmate performance, and supervising plant activities.  Work is received through oral and written instructions and completed work is reviewed by a technical or administrative supervisor for effectiveness of results and continuity of services.  

Minimum Experience & Training: One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.

Psychology

Job Description:  

This is practitioner level professional work providing psychological services at a Commonwealth facility.  

An employee in this job performs independent and specialized work in clinical, vocational, rehabilitation, educational, habilitation, forensic or research areas of a psychological services program. Work includes selecting appropriate psychological tests; testing, interpreting and diagnosing an individual's  psychological service's needs; collaborating with psychiatric or medical services staff; planning, developing, implementing and coordinating individuals' psychological treatment programs, consultations, clinical services and individual and group therapies with multidisciplinary staff; evaluating individual progress; and adjusting psychological treatment plans.  Work may also include testifying as an expert witness in legal proceedings, signing official documents, such as recertification of care and redetermination of individual financial competency; and serving as coordinator of a multidisciplinary treatment team with responsibility to oversee development of comprehensive treatment plans for individuals.  Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level licensed psychologist or program administrator and is subject to review through consultation and evaluation of work performed.

Job Description:  

This is professional, supervisory, and administrative work in the field of psychology within the Department of Corrections.    

An employee in this job manages a psychological services program at a State Correctional Institution, or in a central office setting assists with the overall administration of the Department's psychological services programs.  At a State Correctional Institution, work involves supervising a psychological services staff of technical and licensed personnel; evaluating the effectiveness of inmate psychological services; and developing and integrating psychological services policies and procedures.  In a central office organization, employees are responsible for assisting with the review, development, and implementation of the Department's mental health policies and procedures; conducting operational compliance audits of the psychological services programs at State Correctional Institutions; and providing training and clinical direction to the psychologists, counselors, and other unit staff members at corrections facilities throughout the state.  Work is performed under the general direction of a Deputy Corrections Superintendent, Licensed Psychologist Director, or another administrative superior; and is subject to  

review through consultation, written reports, and evaluations of program effectiveness.    

Minimum Experience & Training:  

One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist;   

OR 

One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, or behavioral dysfunction. 

Necessary Requirements:  

Possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology

Work involves coordinating the utilization of inmate workers to fulfill the needs of facility's activities in a variety of occupational areas; identifying and resolving a variety of issues associated with screening and placing inmates into appropriate jobs due to the skills required in the job assignments, the limitations imposed by the inmates' physical and psychological conditions, and the impact of the inmates' prescriptive program plans on job placement; and recommending the creation of new inmate jobs and accompanying pay scales to ensure the support of the facility's activities and occupational requirements. Work also includes accountability for the facility's inmate payroll and compensation system by ensuring that inmate job assignments and payment for work performed are accomplished in accordance with agency policies and guidelines. This is beginning level, professional counseling work in the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons within a drug and/or alcohol abuse treatment program in a state institution or facility. An employee in this class provides professional drug and/or alcohol rehabilitation services for inmates, patients or residents who have been diagnosed with or have a documented history of drug and/or alcohol abuse/dependency.  Under the guidance and supervision of a higher-level professional, the incumbent initially performs work at the beginning level of professional counseling.  Latitude in judgment is restricted until the incumbent begins to demonstrate an understanding of the processes and techniques used to rehabilitate inmates, patients, or residents with drug and/or alcohol abuse problems.  The employee participates in drug and alcohol screenings, preparing case histories and records, assessments and orientations, parole/discharge/furlough planning, Community Corrections and local agency referrals and other related administrative duties.  Work is reviewed by a higher-level professional through individual conferences.

This is religious and treatment services work in a program for the spiritual guidance of patients/residents/clients/inmates of state facilities. An employee in this class is responsible for directing and coordinating a comprehensive chaplaincy program at a state operated facility.  Work includes the conduct of worship services, special and ecumenical services, visitation and consultation with patients/residents/clients/inmates, the conduct of religiously oriented classes and religious or pastoral counseling.  An important aspect of the work involves the integration of chaplaincy services, both contractual as well as others, with multidisciplinary treatment team services and consistent with the needs of the patients/residents/clients/inmates and the facility.  Work may include training and related supervision of students from affiliated schools who are enrolled in an informal or introductory clinical pastoral training program.  Employees are responsible for evaluating need for and the adequacy of chaplaincy services provided, and the integration of the chaplaincy program into the total system of care, treatment, and rehabilitation.  Supervision is exercised over facility clergy and/or direction is provided to assure that chaplaincy service providers perform services in accordance with contract provisions.  Work is performed independently under the general administrative direction of a Mental Health Facility Superintendent, Mental Retardation Director, or Corrections Deputy Superintendent, within established policies and guidelines. 

Minimum Experience & Training:  

One year of pastoral experience in an institutional setting;
