This Small Business Reserve Program (SBR) data summarizes the purchase order award activities conducted by individual agencies during the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2024. FY23-24 was a transformative year for the SBR program. During the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, BDISBO engaged in multiple one-on-one meetings with agency personnel to ensure a detailed understanding of the administration's objectives. As a result of this targeted effort, 164 small businesses were awarded 338 purchase orders, totaling over $15.3 million.

Compared to the previous fiscal year, we achieved a 16 percent increase in the number of small businesses (311) engaged in reserved procurements. This heightened focus led to a 25 percent increase in the number of purchase orders (919), thereby expanding opportunities for small businesses to act as prime contractors with the Commonwealth. Overall, more than $50 million in purchase orders were awarded to small businesses, with nearly 60 percent of participating agencies reporting an increase in awarded dollars through the SBR program.
