Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment (PASA)

Statewide Assessment Performance and Participation for Students with Disabilities

Participation and Performance Reports

The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment, also known as PSSA, measures how well students have achieved according to Pennsylvania's world-class academic standards. Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment, also known as PASA, measures how well students with severe cognitive disabilities have achieved in reading and mathematics as measured against alternate academic achievement standards. The reports below provide assessment participation and performance results to educators, parents, and administrators so they can evaluate their students' strengths and weaknesses so decisions can be made to improve student outcomes.

PA Alternate System of Assessment (PASA) Annual Participation and Performance Reports

PASA Annual Participation and Performance Reports from 2019 and earlier have been retired.  The PA Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education implemented a new alternate assessment design beginning in 2021.  If in need of a historical report, contact lihampe@pa.gov to receive an electronic copy.
