The Institute for Law Enforcement Education (ILEE) is a recognized leader in law enforcement training, annually providing instruction to thousands of law enforcement professionals in a wide range of law enforcement subject areas.
The Institute for Law Enforcement Education responds quickly to training requests. It often designs and develops curriculum to meet specific needs. Training can be delivered at the client's site or at a centralized location.
Training can be structured in multiple levels, allowing learners to progress from basic to advanced levels. Program offerings include:
- Traffic enforcement
- Drug and alcohol detection and testing
- Legal updates
- Officer patrol and safety workshops
- Criminal investigation
- Collision investigation
The Institute's instructors are current or former members of law enforcement agencies. In addition, most instructors have more than ten years of teaching experience with the Institute.
The Institute for Law Enforcement Education has a long history of educational excellence. Founded in 1982 as the Traffic Institute for Police Services, ILEE functions as a division of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. In 2002, the Institute's name was changed to more accurately reflect its broad range of training options.
