Commissioner Daniel Pastore of Fairview, Erie County, represents the First District, encompassing Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties in Northwestern Pennsylvania. He was appointed to a four year term in June 2019.

Commissioner Pastore earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1980 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1985. He practiced law in Erie, focusing on real estate and commercial litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Erie County Bar Associations.

In 1994 Commissioner Pastore co-founded Erie.Net, the first public internet provider in Northwest Pennsylvania, which was sold to Stargate.Net in 1999. In 2000 he co-founded FishUSA, Inc., an online retailer of sport fishing tackle. Currently Commissioner Pastore is the Chairman of FishUSA, which has its offices, Pro Shop, and warehouse facilities in Fairview.

Commissioner Pastore is an avid outdoorsman and angler. He fishes for trout on the Pennsylvania streams, for perch, walleye, and bass on Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay on his boat and kayak, and for steelhead in the Lake Erie tributaries. He is active in numerous sportsmans groups, including Trout Unlimited, the PA Steelhead Association, and the SONS of Lake Erie.

Commissioner Pastore and his wife Melissa live in Fairview with their dog Dexter. They enjoy travelling, camping and hiking, and visiting their three adult children.
