The Pennsylvania Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (PACCCP) in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control of the Pennsylvania Department of Health monitors public health, establishes statewide goals for cancer control, and implements and evaluates state cancer plan objectives to address the cancer burden.
Pennsylvania Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (PA-BCCEDP)
The Pennsylvania Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (PA-BCCEDP) is a free breast and cervical cancer screening program of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Breast and cervical cancer screenings are important to look for signs of cancer, even if you don’t have any symptoms. Screening tests are used as a tool to help identify disease early to make it easier to treat or cure. The PA-BCCEDP is funded by the Department of Health with money the department receives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The 2023-2033 Pennsylvania Cancer Control Plan (Cancer Plan) is a guide for the many organizations, institutions and agencies working in cancer control to prevent the disease, improve early diagnosis, treat all cancer patients with the most appropriate and effective therapies, and improve cancer survivors’ quality of life. The Cancer Plan guides statewide efforts for ten years to ensure that resources from state, federal and other sources are targeted to make the greatest impact on Pennsylvania’s cancer burden.
