Juvenile Court Standards

The Juvenile Court Judges' Commission (JCJC) is responsible for establishing standards governing aspects of the operation of juvenile courts and juvenile probation departments. To date, standards have been developed in 25 areas of juvenile court/juvenile probation functioning.  Four of these standards are required for participation in the JCJC’s Juvenile Probation Services Grant program, while 15 standards are advisory. An additional six standards exist for departments that have Specialized Probation Services.
